Welcome to Awana!
Welcome to Awana!

Our Awana program runs during the school year (September – May) with a short break during the month of December. If you would like to visit and experience Awana before deciding to signing up, we welcome you to join us any Tuesday that works for you! Simply visit the check-in desk upon arriving to the church and we will issue you a visitor tag and show you around!

Registration for Awana is $20/child. This includes their Start Zone Booklet, Handbook, uniform, and awards. Registration fee should be paid by the time your child finishes their Start Zone Booklet. Please let us know if you need of a scholarship.

Upon registering, your child will bring home a Start Zone Booklet, which is the first step in Awana achievement. We encourage you to help your child complete this booklet in the first week. This includes memorizing verses and saying them to their club leader.

After completing their Start Zone, they will be given a Handbook and uniform. Your child is now able to earn awards. Each week your child will need to work on their handbook at home. This includes some reading and usually a memory verse. They will need to come to Awana prepared to say their verse and get their handbook signed.

When they do this, they will accumulate awards that go on their uniform. These awards will be given to them at the closing of Awana at 7:30 (Dates are TBD). Parents are welcome to come to closing anytime.

Awana is offered every Tuesday at 6:00 PM and concludes at 7:45 PM. PreK can be picked up early after checking out with their leader.

Each night you will check in your child(ren) at the check in counter. They will receive a tag with their name on it. You will receive a parent/guardian tag as well. It has a special code that matches up to your child(ren)s tag. You must have this tag or code to pick up your child(ren).

Earning bible bucks: Clubbers can earn bible bucks by wearing their Awana uniform, bringing their Bible, participating in theme nights, bringing a friend, etc.

Please see below for information on the different groups offered within Awana, arranged by age.

Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word.

Cubbies helps you lead your child to God early so she will respect and trust Him for life.

Children begin with an entrance booklet called Apple Acres. When they complete the brochure, then they are given their uniform and handbook for the year.

This year cubbies will be earning their verse awards all together each night they attend. So if they are at Awana they will learn their verse and earn their patch for their vest. If they miss a week or get behind, parents will need to teach the verse at home and sign their book to earn their patch.

The handbooks combine basic Scripture memory with parent-child activities to help Cubbies grasp simple biblical truths.

Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

Sparks will be learning their verses at home. Parents will need to sign the “leader” spot to verify their child has learned the verse and gain credit. We will not be listening to verses at church. However, we will be recording their verses and giving the award for their uniform upon completion.

To many children in kindergarten – second grade, Sparks® is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends. This is the age that many kids memorize the largest number of verses in their childhood. So, we encourage parents to use the Awana handbook as a tool to help disciple their child.

Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank:
1. HangGlider®
2. WingRunner®
3. SkyStormerTM

Children begin with an entrance booklet -called Flight 3:16. When they complete Flight 3:16, then they will receive their handbooks and uniform.

Truth and Training (T&T) is the Awana program for kids in 3rd – 5th grade. T&TTM focuses on the basics of the Christian faith and guides kids to a deeper understanding of God’s grace.

They will be learning their verses at home. Parents will need to sign the “leader” spot to verify their child has learned the verse and gain credit. We will not be listening to verses at church. However, we will be recording their verses and giving the award for their uniform upon completion.

T&T engages third through sixth graders, guiding them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ’s grace.

T&T deepens a child’s knowledge about God and His Word, teaching them how to put that knowledge into action in everyday life.

All 3rd – 5th graders begin with a Start Zone booklet that introduces the gospel and basic Bible concepts. All T&T kids complete the Start Zone before entering the handbook each year. All 3rd – 5th graders work together through same book during the Awana year
