Next Steps
What are you next steps to grow spiritually? Consider where you are at using the letters A through E as steps including:
Determine where you are at and take the next step! See below. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 (NIV)The Bible teaches we sinners and separated from God. When we confess our sins and accept Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for them and rose again, we are saved. When we are saved, we are accepted and have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Each day we can seek and trust God to lead and guide us. Not only can we do this now but when we receive Jesus we will spend eternity with him after we die.
NEXT STEPS FOR ACCEPTANCE
If you have already prayed to ask Jesus to forgive your sins, praise God and congratulations! If you have not yet prayed but would like to do so you can pray the following prayer:“Jesus, I give my life to you and receive you as my Lord and Savior. I am a sinner. I believe you died on the cross to pay for my sin. I receive your gift of forgiveness and open my heart and life to you. Thank you for forgiving me and becoming my Savior. Amen!”If you prayed this prayer share it!Let a pastor know! Get Baptized
This verse calls us to accept Jesus (“make disciples”) and then be baptized. Baptism is a public proclamation that you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. This is a very important step in growing to “go public” with your faith in Jesus. Baptism occurs throughout the year at Family Bible Church. We encourage you to be baptized as soon as possible.
NEXT STEP FOR BAPTISM
Keep your eyes open in the bulletin, newsletter, and announcements regarding the next baptism. Then sign up for the short class where you will learn what Scripture has to say about baptism and also gather information about your baptism day. E-mail Pastor Kris if you have any questions about being baptized.
