Corrie Messner

Children & Family Ministry Associate

I grew up going to church every Sunday, where I learned about God from my parents and through Sunday School. At the age of five, I asked Jesus into my heart. I knew how much He loved me and did not want to be apart from that love. My parents were active volunteers at our church, which inspired me to help with Vacation Bible School and participate in mission trips during my teenage years.

After marrying my husband Andy and welcoming our first child, I made the decision to step away from my full-time job and focus on being a mom. Searching for community, I joined a mom’s group (MOPS) at FBC in 2018. A few months later, I attended a women’s retreat through FBC and started regularly attending church here on Sundays. I began volunteering with our Tuesday night Awana program and at Vacation Bible School as well as joining the leadership team of the MOPS group. In 2023, I was asked to join the FBC staff as a part of the Kids Ministry team. I am thankful for this opportunity to serve the families at Family Bible Church through my current role in Kids Ministry, where I endeavor to Love Like Jesus.

Throughout my life, I have been reminded again and again of God’s unwavering faithfulness and His unconditional love for all of us and desire to share that message with others.
