I remember receiving the gift of salvation as a young child, sitting in the front seat of my family’s green Station Wagon while my mother drove us down the road, headed for home. She explained what it meant to place my trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior, and assured me of His unconditional love and grace. This early foundation of faith – simple trust in who Jesus is – began to weave together God’s plan and purposes for my life.
Children and youth have always been at the center of my work and interests; the things that I joyfully give my time and energy to. My high school and college years were filled with volunteering in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, working in preschool and elementary classrooms in my community and coaching at the high school. Before taking time to be a stay-at-home parent with my three young children, I worked as a college recruiter and served on the leadership board for a small private preschool.
In the summer of 2020, my family was invited to visit Family Bible Church at an outdoor service. What we thought was a one-time visit became the start of a new adventure in following God where he was leading next. We felt instantly at home at FBC and quickly found a place to belong.
In the summer of 2021, I was invited to join the Kids Ministry staff. It remains my constant desire to see children and families grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever! 2 Peter 3:18
